What a Program Is
Open a one-page site on their machine and write one sentence: this product helps ___ do ___.
A separate 12-week path. SOLIDWORKS & CAD is the other one.
Participants build software another person can open. A page is on screen the first day. By week 8 that page is a public website. By Demo Day the same job runs as a phone app.
The early weeks exist so the tools are not magic. Participants learn what a program is, write JavaScript they can point at, and compute one neuron by hand. A language model is that arithmetic plus a guess at the next word. They then use Grok, Grok Build, and Grok Bot on the same project, with a written rule for what the bot may do.
The website is the ship we can count on. The phone app is the one this path is aiming for.
What a Program Is

JavaScript: Names, Decisions, Functions
A button that makes a real choice. They can point at the line they wrote.
Vectors and a Neuron
Compute a dot product by hand, change one weight, and flip a yes/no.
How a Language Model Works
Run two prompt loops and throw out one answer that was fluent and wrong.
Steer Grok
Give a role, a goal, and a constraint. Accept one change and reject one.
Grok Build
Approve a plan, read the diff, and make the first git commit.
Grok Bot, on a Leash
Write what the bot may do, must ask, and must never do. Log one action.
Ship the Website
Publish a public URL and open it on a phone. This is the minimum ship.
Phone App, Two Screens
Run the same job in Expo Go on a real phone. It is an app, not the website in a browser.
The App Does the Job
The core action works three times, survives bad input, and keeps private case data out of prompts.
Make It Publishable
Add a name, icon, screenshots, and a privacy line. A partner finishes the job without a speech.
Capstone — Product Demo Day
Show the live site, the phone, what they wrote, what Grok wrote, and one v2.
SOLIDWORKS & CAD is a separate 12-week path. See that sequence.
